PresentationThe responsibility for maintaining transparency in publicly-traded markets rests with the Chilean Securities and Insurance Supervisor (Superintendencia de Valores y Seguros - SVS). Through the timely dissemination of public information at its disposal and the ongoing provision of knowledge and education to investors, insured persons, the general public and other key market participants, the continue development and proper operation of such markets is assured. In keeping with the transparency policy promoted by the Chilean Government, and as part of the strategy to expand State services to the Chilean citizens, the SVS has created this web site in order to provide appropriate information on the markets under its supervision. On this site you find a plethora of information on Chilean markets, such as relevant legislation as well as background information provided to the SVS by publicly-traded companies, including material news, registered insurance policies, and both financial and technical statistics.
In addition, this web site will facilitate dissemination of rulings and other acts adopted by the SVS in its regulatory and monitoring role. Information on SVS' organizational structure, resources, registration procedures and other services, as well as publications, isl also available here. Another feature allows publicly-traded companies to electronically transfer financial statements, material news, and other background information direcly to the SVS.
