Security brokers are stock exchange brokers or security agents which are solely dedicated to public offer instrument brokerage.
Stock exchange brokers are those acting as members of stock markets and that can trade stocks and any other type of securities.
Security agents operate out of the stock exchange and trade securities other than stocks.
Security brokers are supervised by the Superintendence of Securities and Insurance, just like stock markets of which brokers are members.
At the time of choosing a broker, be informed if he/she is effectively registered in the record kept by the SVS, his/her experience, sanctions that have been applied to him/her and nature of the same, and brokerage costs.
Upon operating, you must bear in mind:
- Filling in your customer card.
- Indicating the way in which orders are to be given.
- Indicating whether you want your titles to be kept in custody.
Obtain information on the elements that must be taken into consideration upon giving the order to purchase or sell to your broker.
